USDC News - Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has unveiled a new smart contract solution named Refund Protocol, designed to enable refunds and dispute resolution for stablecoin transactions. Unlike traditional irreversible cash-like payments, this system holds funds in escrow via smart contracts, allowing buyers to request refunds and engage third-party arbiters if disputes arise. The initiative, announced in an April 17 blog post, marks a significant step toward enhancing consumer protections in crypto payments.
